Welcome to Tallahassee & the St. John Neumann Retreat Center! We are now taking reservations for lodging for this year's Respect Life Conference on October 23 & 24, 2015. If you would like to make a reservation for 1 or 2 nights while you are attending the Conference, please email Dasha Nixon, email@example.com , and include which nights you will be staying, your name, name of roommate if you have a preference and approximate time of arrival.
The special rate is $30.00 per night based on double occupancy and includes a continental breakfast beginning at 6:30 am on Saturday & Sunday. We are located next door to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church which has a Perpetual Adoration chapel & Sunday Masses beginning @ 8 am.

The perfect way to prepare for Christmas! Through a series of conferences, a Holy Hour, and private prayer time, Fr. Chuck Zmudzinski, C.P.M. will help us prepare for Christmas by becoming more aware of God’s presence all around us as we patiently wait for the joyful celebration of that day when the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. November 2014 - Lectio Divina Retreat w/ Karl Schultz
The Neumann Center will be hosting, Lectio Divina: Sharing the Word with the Holy Family, from November 14 - 16. Karl A. Schultz, Director of Genesis Personal Development Center and EWTN contributor, will show how the Holy Family teaches us how to foster a dialogue with God through the Word and apply the wisdom in our everyday circumstances. Fr. Abraham Mathew, from the Diocese of Brooklyn, NY, will serve as retreat master. Originally, from India, he move to the United States in his earlier years. His areas of expertise include redemptive suffering, the Holy Family & the Eucharist. He stayed at the St. John Neumann Center for a mini-sabbatical this past Spring and deeply touched many in the Tallahassee community when he celebrated Masses, heard Confessions and provided Spiritual Direction at Blessed Sacrament, St. Thomas More and the Neumann Center.
This retreat will begin Saturday morning @ 8 am and end on Sunday @ 12 noon. The cost is $100 which includes all talks and meals. You are welcome to stay overnight on Saturday at no extra cost. To register, contact Dasha Nixon via email at email@example.com or call the Center at 850-224-2971.
July 2014 - Great news for divorced Catholics!
We will be hosting the Catholic's Divorce Survival program beginning Wednesday, July 9th @ 6:30 pm. The twelve-week program features thirty-minute DVD presentations each week that cover topics of shock, denial, anger, grief, guilt, forgiveness, money, the courts, the kids, the ex-spouse, annulment, dating, sexuality, spirituality, remarriage or staying single, and much more. Also, the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee Tribunal office will be conducting an Annulment Workshop on Tuesday, August 5th @ 7 pm. Our Judicial Vicar, Monsignor James Flaherty, will explain the path to healing and reconciliation for those who have experienced a broken marital relationship. He will be available to answer any questions you may have about the annulment process.
May 2014 - He has Risen, Alleluia! I hope you are having a Blessed & Joyous Easter Season! As we conclude our Spring 2014 schedule, plans are being made for another year of Catholic retreats and programming at the Neumann Center for Fall 2014 - Spring 2015. Some of the highlights:
- The Catholic's Divorce Survival Guide - A 12-week program from Ascension Press that helps Catholics find peace, power and passion after a divorce. Will be offered again this Summer 2014.
- Engaged Encounter - A requirement to be married in the Catholic Church is to participate in marriage preparation. The fall weekend is coming up in September.
- Lectio Divina - One of the most popular devotions today is coming to the Neumann Center. This retreat will be led by Karl Schultz, a noted author and speaker. November 2014
- Advent Retreat - The Fathers of Mercy return to lead us in this season of Hope to a deeper encounter with the Holy Family and our Savior Jesus Christ. December 2014

February 2014 - Two Lenten Retreats for the senses: Blessed Are You Poor: Following the Poor Christ into the Lenten Desert (March 7 - 9) & Taking Prayer Out of the Box: Ignatian Prayer and the Discernment of Spirits (March 21 - 23). During these 2 retreats, you will grow closer to our Lord as we embark on the 40-day journey toward His Passion, Death & Resurrection. Two outstanding retreat masters will be coming to Tallahassee to lead us, Dr. Tom Neal ("Blessed Are You Poor") and Fr. Sean Morris, OMV ("Taking Prayer Out of the Box"). January 2014 - Our annual Lent Retreat will be March 7th - 9th. Come away for a time of personal prayer and desert silence to drink more deeply of Lent's torrent of life-changing graces. 12/17/13 - A Women's Retreat led by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist will be held the weekend of January 11 & 12, 2014. This retreat is open to ALL women who are seeking a deeper understanding of God's will for them in their roles as single laywomen, wives and/or mothers. The Sisters of Mary have done some amazing things, including participating in the American Bible Challenge (advancing to the finale and winning the "Fan Favorite" award) and producing a sacred music album, Mater Eucharistiae, that reached #1 on the Billboard Classical Music charts. Philip Merdinger, the Founder of the Brotherhood of Hope. 08/27/13 - Men's Retreat coming in October! Praying the Psalms: The Ancient Pathway to God, led by Rev. Msgr. Slade Crawford, will use the method of interactive Christology in reading, meditating and praying the Psalms. The only requirement is "the thirst for the living God, to seek His face." The dates are October 25 - 27... registration opens in September!

06/05/13 - We have another exciting event planned this summer! The Neumann Center will begin an Ecumenical Outreach program lead by Deacon Matthew Busch on Wednesday, June 19th @ 7 pm. We welcome members of all faith backgrounds to join us as we show episodes of the Catholicism series followed by a question and answer period with Deacon Matt to help explain what & why Catholics believe. We will meet every Wednesday @ 7 pm through August 21st. The Catholicism Summer series is free to the public.

02/08/13 - Sister Christine Kelly of the Sisters of St. Joseph in St. Augustine, Florida, who served as the Director of the St. John Neumann Center from 1984 - 2012, passed away from this earth yesterday evening. Please click here for her obituary. Eternal rest grant unto Sister Christine, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
